Kits & Power
Which Pro R kit should I buy?+
Two questions decide it: what fuel will you run, and where do you ride? Pump-gas riders who want a huge, reliable jump start at the 380 turnkey — 225 to 380 hp at just 8 psi on a bone-stock engine. Chasing more, the 425 and 460 add exhaust, intake and boost; the 500 is the E50 flagship. Every tier's page shows its curve, and the altitude tool shows what your local elevation does to each.
Supercharger or turbo — which is right for me?+
Our centrifugal supercharger systems make boost instantly and linearly — no lag, no heat-soak drama, power that tracks your right foot. That's why we build them: in sand and on tight trails, drivability wins. Turbos have their place; for most owners, the blower is the better everyday weapon.
What does altitude do to my power?+
It steals it — from everyone. Sand Hollow sits around 3,000+ feet, and a naturally aspirated motor gives up roughly 3% per thousand feet. Boost takes it back. Use the altitude tool to see your numbers, and note pulley choices are mapped to elevation.
Will this hurt my belt or my engine?+
Boost done wrong kills belts and motors; boost done right is just math. Our turnkey tiers keep stock-engine boost conservative (the 380 runs 8 psi; the 460 110-octane tune runs 11 psi on a 100% stock engine), clutching targets are specified per kit, and tuning is locked to the fuel you told us you'd run. Follow the tune, service the belt, and send it.
Tuning & Fuel
How does the ECU / tuning process work?+
Current kits tune through HP Tuners: your stock ECU is unlocked and calibrated for your exact kit and fuel. Some earlier and high-output builds run Pro EFI standalone systems. Your kit page states which applies before you buy.
E50? 110 octane? Pump gas? What's the difference?+
Fuel is the ceiling. Pump-gas tunes are the conservative daily setup; 110-octane race gas lets a stock engine carry more boost safely; E50 is the big-power fuel our 460 and 500 tiers are built around. Run the fuel your tune was written for — no exceptions, no mixing and hoping.
Install & Support
Can I install it myself?+
Thousands of owners have. UTV Guide called our YXZ system 'by far the easiest forced-induction swap we have ever done on a UTV.' Plan a focused weekend, follow the guide and videos for your kit, and call us mid-install if anything looks wrong — a human who has built your kit will pick up.
What if I need help after the sale?+
Call or text 385-303-6000. We're a small family shop and we build faster than we type, so phones beat email. During dune season, mornings are your best window.
Ordering
What are lead times like?+
Kits are hand-built to your order — machined, assembled and checked in Clearfield. Current lead time is posted on each kit page before you click buy. When it says weeks, it means weeks; that's the cost of it being right.
What's your return policy on supercharger kits?+
Plainly: once a supercharger kit ships, it can't come back — it was built for your order and your fuel. Everything else follows the standard store policy. If something arrives wrong or damaged, call us first and we'll make it right.
Wheels & Tires
Forged FF Series or composite — which wheel?+
Forged FF Series is the proven do-everything wheel — beadlock or standard, in every major bolt pattern. The Oribi composite wheel is the exotic: about half the weight of aluminum, roughly 25 lb of unsprung weight off the car. If you race, or you simply want what nobody else at the dune has, that's the one.
Do you make my bolt pattern?+
4x110 (YXZ), 4x136 (Can-Am), 4x156 (Polaris), 5x4.5 (Pro R), 6x139.7 (Maverick R). Fitment filters on the wheels page sort it in two clicks.
The Company
Who actually builds my kit?+
The Packards and a small crew in Clearfield, Utah — Freeport Center, Building 94. In-house machine shop, fab floor and dyno room; five-axis CNC mills; one roof. Read the story.
How long have you been doing this?+
In the side-by-side industry since 2004 — since the Yamaha Rhino era — on a bench heritage that goes back twenty-five-plus years before that. See the timeline.
The Legal Bit
Are your kits street legal / CARB compliant?+
No. Supercharger, turbo and exhaust products are designed and sold for off-road and competition use only. They are not intended for vehicles operated on public roads, and are not CARB-exempted. Ride where you're supposed to — that's where they shine anyway.

Packard Performance supercharger, turbocharger and exhaust products are intended solely for off-road and competition use and are not for use on public roads. Horsepower figures are dyno-measured manufacturer results for the stated kit, fuel and conditions; your results vary with elevation, fuel and setup.
